1931 Dodge DH6 Sedan Hot Rod for sale

I’ve decided to sell my beloved 1931 Dodge Hot Rod. The car and craftsmanship speak for itself and there are over 1000+ pictures of the build which can be provided. The car was completed in November 2015. There is also a full build spec. list with every part number ever needed to maintain it and it has also been featured on the cover of Jegs catalog (Jan/Feb 2016). The car has less than 100 miles on it, and ALL parts are either brand new or rebuilt.

Summary:
1931 Dodge DH6 Sedan Hot Rod with 396BBC, Muncie Trans & Hurst shifter, Ford 9” with coilovers and 3-link. Disc brakes on all 4 corners, Wilwood masters; chopped 4”, channeled 7”; suicide front end. Everything is either brand new, rebuilt, re-chromed in the US. Car was featured on the cover of Jegs catalog in Jan/Feb 2016.

Drivetrain:

Engine:
Rebuilt 396ci BBC bored to 402ci – all roller
Rebuilt Rectangular port heads with roller rockers & roller cam, ball milled chromed aluminum tall valve covers and chromed aluminum breathers
Vintage Edelbrock Victor Ram 2-R Intake with rebuilt dual Holley 660cfm Center Squirt Carburetors with Carb spacer plates – Carbs were ported, polished, and rebuilt.
Brand new clutch, flywheel, and slave cylinder (stainless braided line)
Brand new Wilwood master cylinder and Wilwood pedal assembly
Brand new - Chrome alternator, distributor, coil, spark plus wires, water pump, chrome air cleaners, air filters, GM Mini starter, etc.
Brand new, custom-built copper radiator – 4-core; and Brand new Zirgo electric fan, Brand-new Aluminum Catch canister
Brand new remote mounted chrome high-flow fuel filter, high flow chrome fuel pump, Stainless steel hard-bent fuel lines, Vintage Edelbrock aluminum fuel splitter
Hooker Headers – Ceramic-Coated inside and out, Stainless Steel 2.5” exhaust tubing, Stainless steel V-Band clamps, Stainless steel Porter mufflers – 2.5” from collector back, dual exhaust

Transmission:
Rebuilt Muncie M-21 4-spd, 26-spline input, 32-spline output, (1970-1974, casting #3925661) with Hall Effect Speedometer component added
Hurst shifter and shifter assembly
Balanced driveshaft with Spicer U-Joints

Rear:
Rebuilt Ford 9” ‘big-brake’ rear, 3.31:1 gear ratio – Disc brake Conversion with rear parking brakes


Brakes/Wheels:

Pedal/Masters:
Brand new Wilwood 5.1:1 Pedal/Master Cylinder assembly – one master cylinder for front and one master cylinder for rear brakes
Stainless braided lines for connecting areas from hard lines to calipers and for rear movement (5 lines total)

Brakes:
Front Disc Brakes
Brand new rotors and material, replacement calipers, stainless braided lines
Rear Disc Brakes
Brand new Currie rotors and other material, replacement calipers, stainless braided lines
Lokar Parking brake assembly

Wheels/Tires:
Stock original 1931 Dodge DH6 wheels powdercoated black
Original, hard-to-find ‘DB’ hubcaps
Brand new Firestone 550/600 whitewall tires

Chassis/Suspension/Steering:
Stock frame – boxed and smoothed with new steel added for strength and adaptability. Rear frame was chopped to achieve the frame drop, front frame has suicide spring perch. All mounts and steel is all brand new.

Rear:
Adjustable Pro-Comp coilover shocks and 3-link with heim joints throughout

Front Axle:
Smoothed stock axle with brand new friction shocks and Teflon shock material. Brand new leaf spring is powdercoated and setup in transverse-leaf style and works excellent
Rebuilt reversed Corvair steering box, brand new knuckles and u-joints, brand new heim joints, brand new steering bars (powdercoated), etc.
Brand new, chrome steering column with GM electrical connection – turn signals, hazards, etc.

Paint/Body:
Paint color is Passion Red (2-stage), a GM color, and is carried throughout the entire body, grille shell, headlights, transmission, and engine (engine is single stage).
All metal painted parts have been sandblasted, epoxy primered (3 coats), primered (3 coats), painted (3 coats), and cleared (6 coats).
Frame and engine are single stage though and have 3 coats each.
Body has been chopped 4” and channeled 7”; grille has been sectioned 8”
Undercarriage is rhino-lined over epoxy primer to prevent rusting of any kind and deaden road noise
Interior insulation is sprayed in over epoxy primer to prevent rust and deaden road noise
Firewall is new sheet metal to give the clean, flat appearance. Cowl vents are non-functional but are removable as access points for master cylinders and battery if needed. Floor is brand new sheet metal and steel frame.
Rear doors were recut to provide for body drop.
Maple Wood on perimeter of top – stained in a cherry stain and polyurethane.

Battery – New Optima red-top, installed Nov2015.

All door handles/window cranks have been meticulously re-chromed, all windshield components have been meticulously re-chromed as well, and windshield frame is brand new.
Custom door panels, seats, shifter/parking brake covers, and interior panels – all soft vinyl (look/feels like leather).
Custom trimmed Carpet throughout
Front seat buckets are custom ‘bomber-style’ seats with a twist. They are also painted in the same passion red color as the body. Front belts are aircraft style (stainless), rear belts are standard style
Brand new glass in front windows, rear glass, rear side windows. There are no windows in rear doors (have Plexi-glass pop-out partial windows though), front windshield is Lexan.

Exterior
Door handles have been meticulously re-chromed
Flip out windshield, chrome windshield frame, hinge, and hardware
Beautifully chromed hood/grille ornament

PAYMENT NOTES: $1000.00 non-refundable deposit due immediately upon acceptance of offer (within 24hrs). This must be paid in person (cash) OR through paypal to my account. Remainder of money is due in the form of cash or certified bank check upon the date of vehicle pickup (we can organize this at my local bank to finalize paperwork and financials). Pickup would need to be coordinated to be within my bank’s hours.

Vehicle is sold as-is, no returns/refunds – please ask questions/inspect prior to purchase if necessary. I am very up front with vehicle condition and all specs and can provide additional pictures if necessary. It truly is a nice, award-winning hot rod/show piece.
